Life and the little details...

I have wanted to start a blog for a very long time. I did some research,  and I just got sucked into a tailwind of clicking the next link or refreshing my page.
So, I just decided to go for it, learn, tweak and fix things as I go!
With that out of the way, I will tell you about myself.  I am an Army brat, who was born in Colorado, but don't remember it. My Mother is half Filipino, half Alaskan Indian. My father is a mutt; a mix of french, russian, polish, and a baby toes worth of  Passamaquoddy Indian....So, that also makes me a mutt. I usually only claim my mother's ethnicity.
I am a almost 40 year old momma of two. My daughter will be 21 this year, and my son will be 16!
Most days I wonder how any of us have survived all these years. ..then on days like today, I am reminded of how hard my husband and I have worked to get here! 
Nathan, my husband, and I met in High school. Neither of us have any intention on ever being apart; codependency is something we are working on. This is the meat of my life and we will get there shortly.
The first meaty part of my life is my childhood. Mostly my father. My childhood was extreme, traumatic, scary, and something that I should've shared with the world a very long time ago. We will get more into that also...
Present day. I sit in my bed wondering how the hell I allowed myself to get to this state. After everything I went through in my childhood and early adulthood...I would've thought THEN warranted a depressive state...not when things were finally looking up and me actually loving myself and my life.
All of these things make up me, my crazy amazing life. I am slowly going to share all of it with you. My intention? Maybe, just maybe, I will help ONE person. That has always been a goal, to help one person.
